I had a wonderful visit at the Temple yesterday. Lynn and I picked up Paulette and went to the Salt Lake Temple. It was fun going with my daughter, its been such a long time since I have been with one of my daughters in the temple.
Paulette had brought family names to be done, from the Inman family. It just so happened that she had a mothers name she gave me, and Paulette took the daughters name. So we had two mothers and two daughters in the temple at the same time. As we sat in the gathering room waiting for the session to start, the organist was playing music and soon I recognized the Primary song, Reverently Quietly..., I use to sing to Jennifer when she was little, only I would use her name instead of the words written. Pauli soon begin to sing softly, Jennifer, Jennifer, Jenni, Jenni, Jennifer...I felt the warmth of remembering my daughters.
Walking was a problem for me. It seems I am getting worse in pain level. Our parking space happened to be on the south-end of the conference center, and I had to walk the distance, but going inclined. When Paulette and I got in the temple I had to stop, and sit down for a few minuets. After the session I couldn't walk very well. Paulette and James drove me to my car where I sat and waited for Lynn to come from the History center. James had come to pick up Paulette after her temple session.
I was in so much pain that I was pretty sick when I got home. I think next time I go to the Temple I will have Lynn let me out on the corner, then I wont have to walk so far. Getting older is no fun....
