Yesterday April 18, I visited a Dermatologist to find out what was wrong with my thumb on my right hand. For about six years I have had funny sore white spots growing and coming up in my thumb. Coming from deep inside my skin and coming to the surface. Earlier when it came out, it was like thick white puss. Later some of them were hard pieces. I have asked five different doctors what it was, and none of them knew. Dr. Krogh thought it might be gout, took a blood sample, and it came back normal.
Dr. Behrmann, a Dermatologist, said she had seen it before, and thought it might be a build up of calcium under the skin. some people get it, but its very rear. We needed a biopsy to be sure. That was not a easy thing for me.
Her assistant helped me to hold my hand down hard, and to keep it from moving and shaking. Dr. Behrmann had to use a needle to numb it. She stuck me about seven to ten times, I can tell you the needle was sharp.
One time the syringe came off the needle, and the needle stuck in my thumb. She did a good job, but it never quit numbed all the way.
Next she used a cutter that looked like a straw made of mettle. she placed it over the white spot and cut it out. I was surprised to see that this white spot was about twice as long as it was wide, then finishing up with two stitches in the end of my thumb.
We should know in about a week what they find out.
Dr. Nicole Behrmann baby is due in about two weeks.....just a little before Pauli is due.
Update: April 25....Received a phone call from Dr. Behrmann about the results of the biopsy.
They are calcium formations in my thumb. Its very rear, and not really have a cure
to stop them from coming.

A Dusting of the Cobwebs....
welcome to my blog!
...allow me a brief introduction...
In a reacent conversation with my daughter, her questions were why I, and her Dad were so quiet about our lifes? Meaning writing or telling about our own personal historys.
I didn't think there was anything important to write about. As I was just a normal person, getting up in the morning and getting the day started, getting kids off to school, or meeting schedules of the whole family, cleaning house, and landry. Keeping little ones busy, and changing diapers, comming home fixing dinner, helping with homework, putting kids to bed, watch some news, go to bed. And then do it all over again the next day. Then some days was teaching lessons in Primary, RS, MIA, Sundayschool, cub scouts, or helping at schools, ect. Family home evening, Visiting teaching, and even some Home teaching and being the family schaefer. most of the time we had one car, 6 kids, one working husband. Oh yes, the multi years of music lessons, and baseball teams, coaching, and even one major jumproap champion, for one daughter.
We had trials too. some were very hard, just thinking about a single memory of losing our son, brings tears. But we are told that this life is to meet trials, and how we handle them will be for our own eternal growth.
A very wise Stake President, President Alred, once said "We are here to be schooled in the principles of eternity. We will work by the sweat of our brow, to work our way through this life... But remember we are here to be schooled in the principles of eternity."
So, I welcome you to my blog. Please feel free to stay and go as you please, and wander where you wish. And, as always, feel comfortable in sharing those stories that you may feel are just "an every day" thing as well...

Temple night....
Being in the Salt Lake Temple tonight gave me such a warm feeling. It has always been a very special place to me. We are very lucky, that our area is assigned to the Salt Lake Temple, which means we have the privilege of going there more often.Tonight in a session, I noticed a dear friend who was working at the vail, Judy Norton. I was very lucky to have her as the person who helped me. As she realized who I was she gave me a big hug......At that moment I felt that warmth and love and hugs, that we will feel when we return home to our Father....

70 years....
April 12, 2014 marks 70 years I have lived on this world.
Was it only yesterday that I was running through the orchards, building club houses there, with my friends. No cares of any kind, summer time was hot. Playing jacks, jump rope, hopscotch, and marbles were the thing to do. I would walk to the grocery store on State Street to sit down and read comic books. I also remember dad taking me to a store in Provo to pick out my one and only, two wheel bike. (it was Maroon in color.) Then trying to ride it, which was bigger than I, and not knowing how to use the brakes with my feet. Main Street in Orem was a dirt road. Only one of our neighbors had a cement driveway, so it became the place for us kids to rollerskate, and ride trikes.
Boy have years flown by....Getting married, moving to Arizona, away from my family. Loving six children, hugging them all until they were on their own.... now, having a empty house.....I miss them.
70 years....Never thought I would get here....It was always far away...But here I am....
Happy Birthday to Me......I am 70....

April Fools Day...
My Dad died thirty-one years ago today....April Fools Day!
I have often had a little laugh inside myself,
knowing Dad, he would be laughing too...
He liked a good joke...

Loves Example....
When its important to do what they believe,
even when there are obstacles to climb over in their pathway.
Walking to Church...
Being seven months pregnant,
With a super active two year old, who puts the Energizer Bunny to shame...
Strong storm coming, wind, rain, and some Snow.
No car, others in the house not wanting to go.
A Testimony, shows through choice and actions
We are Loved...We are His Children....least we forget...

Teenagers....
Jodie has informed me that they are expecting a new baby to their family, sometime around Sept 28th. That will make two welcome additions to our growing family this year...Jodie and Pauli families...
Spring Brake from school for Noah,... Launie, Ivie, and Noah came to Utah, from Arizona, for a visit with family.
Bret and Launie give their kids a car upon High School Graduation to help them get started on life.
Ivie's Ford Explorer, gets good gas mileage, so they came in it....
As the week came to a close Ivie decided to stay and live in Provo, and needed her car to be there.... Which left Launie having a rental car to go home. Ivie also works for her mother's boss at the YMCA, in Prescott, and left her job without notice. In Gymnastics, Ivie has won many medals, and had planned to attend Nationals in June....
You never know what is floating in teenagers head. Ivie is 19.

My Singing Partner....
I have been singing a funny night time song for Jimmy Bird, a Greencheek Conure bird, at bedtime, as he seems to need the little extra attention.
Tonight as I was singing, I was surprised to be accompanied by Jack, a little yellow Canary, who is very shy, and often would like to be invisible.
