This is a update in my life today. I am feeling better every day, my strength is increasing, I am able to do more each day, which is a blessing at this time. It looks like I may be loosing the toenail on my big toe, on my right foot. The Dr. said it could happen with Chemo.
Around the first of the year Lynn health was struggling
Our Family Dr. sent him to my Cancer Dr. (Dr. Chandramouli) as he is one of the top Hematologist, in the nation.
The results of testing showed that Lynn has Myelofibrosis, with a deformed gene that is called Jack 2.
There is no cure. Dr. Chandramouli said life expectant is about 10 years.
Lynn and I feel this has been triggered as a results of the complications of the Walker family problems, and his caring for me through my cancer treatments.
About Aug 1st, Lynn started participating in a experimental chemical study at Huntsmans at the University of Utah. I have been driving him into Salt Lake City 2-3 times a week.
Lynn has no energy. He has very little strength, and it is short lived.
He sleeps a lot, and moves very slow, including sometimes, his speech.....Like a car which is driving in the lowest possible gear.
Every time he has to deal deeply with the Walker problem, he gets sick. Its sad because he is the oldest of the siblings, and they look up to him, for advise or just for someone to listen to them, because they are all hurting.
Right now we have also found out Lynn's sister, Judy, has cancer in her back, which she is receiving treatment. Last year they found a cancer spot on her lung, which she had surgery for. Judy is a nurse, and has gone to her Moms and Dads aid all the time. Now she is not even permitted to talk to her mom.
It is strange, because I have always depended on Lynn, and now I am the one who is getting stronger.
I have realized that more is expected of me....... and I am trying to do all that I can.
A Dusting of the Cobwebs....
welcome to my blog!
...allow me a brief introduction...
In a reacent conversation with my daughter, her questions were why I, and her Dad were so quiet about our lifes? Meaning writing or telling about our own personal historys.
I didn't think there was anything important to write about. As I was just a normal person, getting up in the morning and getting the day started, getting kids off to school, or meeting schedules of the whole family, cleaning house, and landry. Keeping little ones busy, and changing diapers, comming home fixing dinner, helping with homework, putting kids to bed, watch some news, go to bed. And then do it all over again the next day. Then some days was teaching lessons in Primary, RS, MIA, Sundayschool, cub scouts, or helping at schools, ect. Family home evening, Visiting teaching, and even some Home teaching and being the family schaefer. most of the time we had one car, 6 kids, one working husband. Oh yes, the multi years of music lessons, and baseball teams, coaching, and even one major jumproap champion, for one daughter.
We had trials too. some were very hard, just thinking about a single memory of losing our son, brings tears. But we are told that this life is to meet trials, and how we handle them will be for our own eternal growth.
A very wise Stake President, President Alred, once said "We are here to be schooled in the principles of eternity. We will work by the sweat of our brow, to work our way through this life... But remember we are here to be schooled in the principles of eternity."
So, I welcome you to my blog. Please feel free to stay and go as you please, and wander where you wish. And, as always, feel comfortable in sharing those stories that you may feel are just "an every day" thing as well...

I Answered Your Prayers....
For months I have felt sorrow for not sharing in the Happiness that surrounds Jodie, my youngest. In my complaint to the Lord, I received this answer...
I Have Answered Your Prayers.......I got Jodie out of Parker, and Lake Havasue because of the bad influence that was there.
I did bring her to Provo Utah where she would be safe, and reinforced her strength, as she had to deal with a bad relationship.
I introduced her to a Wonderful Man.
I led her to the Temple for a Temple Marriage, to be sealed for all Eternity.
And blessed her to be part of a family that is strong in the Church, being surrounded by two strong families that love her.
I have granted Her prayers to be a Mother......
What More Do You Want From Me??????....
I am at peace.....

Scott Quayle...
Bishop Corey Grua wrote:
A person is probably never ready to get a phone call that a friend has died. You can anticipate, but the feelings always are less than what happens in your heart when you answer that call.
This Morning one of the best men I've known moved beyond this earth, Scott Quayle. For the entire time I served as Bishop, and then many years before my service, Scott served quietly and with dignity to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to others in the world and in action.
A more Christ-like man, I have never known. I will now draw upon his past-time example to live a better life myself. Scott has been a person hero for seven years. That wont change with today's call.....

Brother Scott Quayle died this morning, at his home. from fast moving Cancer. His wife Crissy, will soon follow him in a few weeks, from Cancer to.
They are both very special people, making the world a better place, where ever they happen to be.
Bro. Quayle was always encouraging concerning our daughter Jodie, and her becoming active in church, and going through the Salt Lake Temple. It meant so much to me that he took a personal interest in her.....

Family Search Indexing...
April 17th 2012,
Marilyn Grua, who is over the Extraction Indexing for our stake, and my neighbor, Started me working on the Family Search Indexing program. On my computer I have been typing the names and info from the 1940 Censes, to a form for church use.
I have found this service to be very satisfying
Starting with a word of prayer for help, to know the names I do not know.
I feel that someone is standing just behind me, giving me inspiration, and sometimes names, or to see the letters different than I first thought. and where to look on the batch to find the answers I am looking for.
You are diffidently not alone doing this work. Its important work, for people are trying to trace their genealogy lines, So I try to make sure its right. I know anyone can do this, it has been made real easy to do.
But You have to ask the Lord to help you... and you receive it...

Colonoscopy....
When I had my year appointment with Dr. Strindberg, my Surgeon, She asked me if I have had a Colonoscopy? I said that I hadn't. She wanted me to get one for two reasons.
1. I am over 50 years old. and
2. I have had Cancer.
So I was scheduled for May 1st, at the Tooele Hospital. I felt better that Dr. Strindberg would do it being that I know her.
The Colonoscopy its self wasn't too bad. The day before was the hardest of all.
It turned out very well, no problems at all. But I don't think I will need another one, because of my age...
I am Sooooo Glad its over....

I have raised her from the time she received her feathers.
A Sweet, Loving, Gentle bird, who considered me a friend. She died in my arms after giving me a loving last look into my eyes.
I can not tell you how my broken heart crys for her.
I hope I may have the privilege of seeing her again on the other side of the vail.
Jenny was eight years old. She died young...
